Reiko Matsui Jones

Reiko Matsui Jones 94 of Paducah passed away September 29, 2023 at Baptist Health in Paducah.

Reiko’s life was built around serving and caring for others. Reiko married Howard Dale Jones while working for the U.S. Army in Tokyo.  In 1963 they moved to Paducah where she was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and a florist at The House of Flowers. After retirement, the couple traveled the world with friends.

Reiko’s legacy lives on through her two daughters, Jeanette Marie Jones and Gloria Reiko Graves, four Granddaughters, Crystal Arnett (Brian), Amber Stone (Donnie), Haylie Harrison (Nicholas), and Danielle Fritts (Joshua); eight Great-grandchildren, Bailey, Peyton & Riley Arnett, Donovin & Devyn Stone, Jeriah & Amirah Harrison and Baby girl Fritts due in December. Reiko is also survived by her sister, Fumiko Kochizawa, and family in Japan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Masakichi and Haru Miyamoto; her aunt, Matsu Matsui; her husband of 55 years, Howard Jones; and her great-grandson, Deion Stone.  Reiko lived her life helping others and conveyed a witty sense of humor, especially in her later years.  All who met her, truly enjoyed the woman she was and she will be missed… until we meet again.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Friendship Baptist Church, 146 South Friendship Rd, Paducah, KY. Visitation 10:30 and Service 11:30.
