Reverend Alfred E. White has passed on Jan. 14, 2022 at the age of 91. Al was born February 22, 1930 to Charles and Caroline White in Sheldon IL.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, both brothers, Elmer and Kenneth, three sisters, Doris, Lucille and Martha, his wife Dorothy (Kennedy) White, his second wife Arlis (Legan) White and both sons, Steven and Thomas.
He is survived by his daughter, Nancy (White) Langellier of Paducah KY, seven grandchildren, Amy (white) and John Allmon, Carrie (White) and Joe Vessels, Amie (White) and Kurt Lange, Lisa Thornton and Thomas Valle, Sam and Megan White, Renee Langellier and Jason Lee, Sara (Langellier) and Bailey Wiley, and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Al has a special relationship with his niece Laurie Deitcher, niece Lucinda Herring, nephew Kevin Kendall, Marie and Steve Summers, and Ed Langellier.
Al served his country during the Korean war, after which he farmed and raised hogs with his father, winning the 1957 Berkshire Grand Championship with their hog Watseka Wanda. In 1965, he opened his own construction company in Milford, IL. In 1975, he attended Ozark Bible College in Joplin, MO and began preaching in Waco, MO. Al preached in many different churches across many states. He went on a mission trip to Haiti and used his carpentry skills to serve the Lord. He ended his ministry career in Cheneyville, IL in 2019 when he moved to Paducah, KY with his daughter until the time of his passing.
Memorial visitation will be held February 12, 2022 at the Milford Christian Church, Milford IL from 1-4 pm. Service will be immediately after at 4 pm. Reverend Neil Larimore officiating.
