Richard “Ricky” Brantner Jr., 66, of Paducah, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein hospice Care Center.
Richard was a jack of all trades, he could do anything form carpentry to gardening. In the kictchen cooking was his happy place. In his younger years he was an avid athlete, competing in baseball, football, and wrestling. Richard loved riding motorcycles. He was a founding member of the Kentucky Bikers Association.
Richard is survived by two children, Michelle Carte and Jody (Brandon) Johnson; his mother, Joann Brower Leidecker; three siblings, Patti (Michael) Mack, Glenda Brantner, and John (Kelly) Wooley; five grandchildren, Elizabeth (Levi) Thorn, Shayna (Julian) Horn, Jaylon Larkins, Alec Parmer, and Makaylyn Carte; two great-grandchildren, Emmalyn and Avery; 11 nieces and nephews, Lori, Bryan, Darla, Tonya, Sara, J.J., Nolan, Scott, Amber, Jessica, and Daniel; nine great and great-great-nieces and nephews, Steven, Lilly, Christopher, Danika, Landon, Malachi, Kealeah, Kordea, and Addie; his ex-wife, Vicki Brantner; and lots of loving cousins and friends.
Preceding Richard in death is his father and stepmother, Richard and Char Brantner; paternal grandparents, George and Sarah Brantner; maternal grandparents, Bill and Louise Brower; two sisters, Beth Adair and Nancy Breidenbach; one nephew, Christopher Tedder; and several aunts and uncles.
