Rita (Webb) Cope-Shelton

Rita (Webb) Cope-Shelton, 69, of Paducah passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.

She was born on December 27, 1949 in Paducah, KY and was the only child of Ottie and Opal Webb of Kevil. Rita loved to play piano and was the pianist for many years of Newton Creek Baptist Church. She loved to travel, especially on cruise ships and shop with good friends. She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Cope-Shelton is survived by her husband, Phil Shelton; three sons, Jay (Sandy) Orazine of Paducah, Wes (Ginger) Orazine, and Ray (Nancy) Shelton. She leaves behind seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 7:00pm on Friday, March 29, 2019 at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Hayes officiating.

Friends may visit the family from 5:00pm to service hour on Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at Mercy Health Paducah.
