Robert Nimmo
September 27, 1957 — July 10, 2016
Robert E. Nimmo, 58, of Benton formerly of Paducah, died on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Baptist Health surrounded by family members.
Mr. Nimmo was an avid outdoorsmen, he loved to work the land, fish and camp. He retired from West Kentucky Easter Seals in 2006. He worked as a sexton for the city of Paducah for Oak Grove Cemetery from 1984-2002 and Mt Kenton Cemetery. He was a grounds keeper at Southside camp ground. He served five years with US Army spending one year in Korea. He was a 1975 graduate of Marshall County High School
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Connie (Pace) Nimmo of Benton; two sisters, Pat Littlejohn of Benton and Claudette Kraus of Vienna, VA; two brothers Ron Nimmo of Melber and Mason Nimmo of Benton; several nieces and nephews; and several friends who dearly loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Mason and Meritta Toni Nimmo and one brother, Richard Nimmo.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
