Robert F. Vannerson

Robert F. Vannerson, 73, of Gilbertsville passed away on Monday August 13, 2018 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah

Robert was a teacher, coach at McCracken County School System for 27 years.  He followed his passion after his teaching retirement, in the fishing industry, as a tournament director at FLW Outdoors.  Robert was an avid outdoorsman and athlete.  His main love was his family and friends.  He loved serving his community and helping others.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gilda Vannerson of Gilbertsville; one daughter, Shannon Courtney of Gilbertsville; one son, Rob W. Vannerson of Gilbertsville; and one grandson, John Conner Vannerson.

Mr. Vannerson was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Duke (John) Vannerson and Lillian Beyer; his oldest sister, Eleanor Vannerson McCain; his younger sister, Dorothy Ann Cox; and one brother, Lester Duke Vannerson.

Memorial visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Friday August 17, 2018 at Lindsey Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 6:00pm with Tom Fusco officiating.
