Ronnie Baucum

June 1, 1925 — April 12, 2015


Ronnie T. Baucum, 89, of Paducah, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Baptist Health of Paducah.

Mr. Baucum was a World War II Army Veteran having served a tour of duty in the European Theater. Ronnie was decorated with the Purple Heart and Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Man Badge.

He is survived by three daughters, Brenda Gentry Moore (Glenn Bub Mckendree), Donna Baucum Tapp (Charlie Glisson), and Lesha Cunningham (J.R. Garrnett) all of Paducah; one brother, Ralph Baucum of Paducah; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Baucum; one son, Gerry Baucum; one grandson, Johnny Gentry; three sisters; and one brother. His parents were Wallace J. Baucum and Parire McChristian Baucum.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 11:00 am at Lindsey Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Greenwell and Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by American Legion Post 31.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Lindsey Funeral Home.
