Ruth Rosalia Reick Caspar, of Paducah passed away Monday, January 10,2011 at Superior Care Home.

Mrs. Caspar was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church. She was a charter member of the Lourdes Hospital Auxiliary where she served as Committee Chairperson for 20 years. She volunteered for 41 years in Leadership for 4H, served with the St. Thomas More Altor Society for many years and was active with Boy Scouts of America when her sons were younger.

Survivors include her four sons: Francis (Lanell) Caspar of Lexington, Richard (Anne) Caspar of North Carolina, Robert (Ann) Caspar of Elizabethtown and Donald Caspar of Paducah; one daughter. Mary (Guerry) Fulcher of Tennessee; her 12 grandchildren: Michael (Roxann) Caspar, Brenda (Joe) Carroll, Jason (Quincy) Caspar, Justin Caspar, Nicholas Caspar, Emily (John) Owens, Christopher (Ange) Caspar, Dana Noland, Elizabeth (Chris) Carter, Mark (Kathryn) Caspar, Matthew (Melissa) Fulcher and Sarah Fulcher. Her 15 great grandchildren: Brady and Reid Caspar, Parker and Alden Carroll, Jack and Caroline Caspar, Conner and Evan Caspar, Katie and Sophie Noland, Jonah and Benjamin Carter, Cole and Clarissa Caspar, Felicity Fulcher and two brothers Jim Reick and John Reick.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Francis A. Caspar, DVM, her granddaughter Melissa Caspar, her parents Otto and Agnes Reick, as well as two brothers and two sisters.

The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis de Sales Church on Saturday at 10:00 AM with Father Roby and Father Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday at Lindsey Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM by Deacon Bob Caspar.
