Ruth Matheny Colson

Ruth G. Colson, 91, of Paducah passed away on Monday December 29, 2014 at McCracken Nursing & Rehab.

Mrs. Colson was a homemaker and member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Surviving is one brother, Harry (Bettie) Matheny of Paducah; five step grandchildren; several step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Laura Whitaker; her husbands, John Lloyd Matheny and Clyde Colson; one stepson, Harry (Bob)Matheny; and four sisters, Lilah Mae Beaton, Dorothy Whitaker, Mary Estes Albritton, and Clara Glisson

Graveside services will be at 1:00pm on Saturday January 3, 2014 at Mt. Kenton Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Ogden officiating.

Friends may call from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday at Lindsey Funeral Home.
