Ruth Elrod

Ruth E. Elrod, 84, of Paducah passed away Thursday at her daughter’s home in Boaz.
Mrs. Elrod was an avid bowler, a loving mother, and a member of the Paducah Women’s Bowling Association, and an active member at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Paducah.
Surviving are two daughters, Debbie Abanathy (Rick) of Boaz, Johnnie E. Elrod of Paducah; one brother, William Clark of Paducah; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Elrod; her parents, Robert and Dorothy Clark; and two daughters, Linda R. Grief and Vickie E. Neal.
A memorial service will be at 4:00 PM Sunday at Lindsey Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Stamper officiating. A reception will immediately follow at St. Matthew Lutheran Church located at 2700 Broadway in Paducah.
Family will accept friends after 2:00 PM Sunday until the memorial service at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
