Ruth Purcell

Ruth Powell Purcell, 99, of Paducah passed away on Wednesday February 4, 2015 at Lourdes Hospital.

Mrs. Purcell was a homemaker and member of Arcadia United Methodist Church. She was also a life member of the Lourdes Hospital Auxiliary.

Surviving is one son, Mike Purcell of Mesa, AZ; one daughter, Kathy (Tommy) Sides of Paducah; two grandsons, Brian Reber of San Francisco, CA. Jason Purcell of Murray; seven great-grandchildren, Natashia Purcell of Murray, Eliana Purcell of Murray, Talon Purcell of Murray, Caitlin Campbell of Paducah, Lindsay Campbell of Paducah, Aubrey Campbell of Paducah, Breanna Clements of Paducah; two step-granddaughters, Treasa Sides (Derek) Hunt of Dade City, FL; and Rebecca Sides Campbell (Kyle) Clements of Paducah.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Enna Thorton. Her parents were John Goodwin Powell and Ruth Augusta Gresham.

Graveside services will be held at a later date.
