Sheryl Lee (Averitt) Metzger-Sowell

Sheryl Metzger-Sowell, 51, of Paducah, died Sunday morning, October 2nd, 2016 at Lourdes Hospital of Paducah.

Sheryl loved golfing and socializing with her friends at Rolling Hills Country Club. Sheryl loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them all, especially the grandkids. She also loved to spend time at the beach.

Sheryl is survived by her Husband, Jackson Sowell; two daughters, Candice (Ted) Cole of Paducah, and Heather (Chris) Helson of Scottsville, Ky.; one brother, Dale (Teresa) Averitt of Troy, Mo.; one sister, Tina (Robert) Funk of Henserson, Ky.; two grandchildren, Owen and Blake Helson; two favorite dogs, Charlie and Snickers; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Louis and Neva Lou Morris Averitt; one brother, Glenn Averitt; and one special grandmother, Elsie Stowe.

Friends may visit the family on Friday evening, October 7th, 2016 at Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah from 5pm until 7pm. A memorial service will follow at 7pm with Brother Joe Metzger officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society.
