Sigvard Rodney Helland

Lt. Sigvard "Sig" R. Helland, 85, of Boaz died on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Mr. Helland was a retired firefighter and Merchant Marine.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Helland of Boaz; two sons, Michael Laramie of Huntley, IL, and Haakon Helland of Woodstock, IL; one brother, Kristian Helland of Florida; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kristian Helland and Randi Ramsland Helland; and one granddaughter.
Memorial services will be at 11:00am on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. Charles Uhlik officiating.
Friends may visit the family from 10:00am to service hour on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the church.
