Thomas Arnold Jr

Thomas E. Arnold Jr., 80, of Metropolis, IL passed away at 1:30pm on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the Lourdes Hospice Care Center after a terminal illness.
He was born on June 26, 1935 in Odin, IL.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rita A. Arnold; two sons, Jeffery A. Arnold, Mark T. (Annette) Arnold all of Davis Junction, IL; two granddaughters, Alysa and Katonia; one brother, Paul Arnold of Mt. Vernon; four sisters, Judy Propes of Salem, IL, Linda Yates of Colorado Springs, CO, Karen Skaggs (Sam) of The Villages, FL, and Wilma White of Smyrna, TN.
He was preceded in death by one brother, John Arnold; one sister, Faye Messer. His parents were Thomas and Marie Arnold.
Mr. Arnold graduated from Salem High School in Salem, IL. He retired from the Chrysler Corporation after 30 years in Belvidere, IL and also served in the U.S. Marines and U.S. Army.
Tom will be missed by many friends and he was deeply loved and will be missed by his in-laws, Richard and Phyllis Bundschuh of Silver Springs, FL; Chuck Bundschuh, Michael Menefee of Crystal Lake, IL, Candy and Terry Wauchope of Rockford, IL Paul and Allena Bundschuh of Belvidere, IL; and the many nieces and nephews of the family.
