Thomas “Tom” Allen Medley, 71, of Paducah passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at his home with his wife and daughter by his side holding his hand.
He was born on October 14, 1946, to the late Rufus and Lola Medley.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Phyllis Brown Medley; his daughter, Melissa and husband Greg Siener; grandson, Camron; granddaughter, McKayla; his late son Brett’s fiancé, Karen; grandson, Zack; granddaughter, Sydney; brother, Ed and wife Linda Medley; sister, Elizabeth and husband Ronnie Boswell; and several nieces and nephews.
Tom was a very hard working, kind, and loving man. He was an Army Veteran serving two years in Germany. He worked for many years at the VMV Railroad as a pipefitter and welder.
He was a home body who enjoyed visiting with family and friends. He loved being in his garage in his recliner reading western books, Louis L’ Amour was his favorite. He liked target shooting in his backyard, hosting poker nights with good friends, and loved a good game of washers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Lola Medley; brothers, John Wayne Medley and Rufus Medley Jr.; and his son, Brett Medley.
Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Homer Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow at Fooks Cemetery in Marshall County.
Friends may visit the family from 5:00pm – 8:00pm on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Lindsey Funeral Home.
