Timothy Doom

November 11, 1955 — August 12, 2009

Timothy Wayland Doom, age 53, of Benton, Ky. passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 6:54 p.m. at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2009 at Lindsey Funeral Home with Bro. Andrew Sexton officiating.

Tim was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. Tim built his beloved motorcycle and he and his wife, Michelle, enjoyed riding motorcycles together. Tim spent a lot of time outdoors enjoying four-wheelers, hunting, and golfing. More recently he enjoyed the special closeness a father has with his son and Tim found a lot of enjoyment in riding the lawn mower with his son, Wyatt. Tim was a longtime member of Laborers Union Local #1214 and he was the estimator and co-owner of CESA Contracting in Calvert City, Ky.

Tim is survived by his wife of 2 years, Michelle; two children, his son, Wyatt Edward Doom and step-daughter, Megan Averitt; his mother, Wanda Louise (Joiner) Doom; three sisters, Debra Thomason and husband Joe of Smithland, Ky., Sandra Sewell and husband Danny of Calvert City, Ky., and Pam Thompson and husband (Mitchell) of Gilbertsville, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his father, Courtney Wayland Doom.

Visitation will be held from Sunday, August 16, 2009 from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at Lindsey Funeral Home.

Friends honored to be pallbearers will be: Mitchell Thompson, Danny Sewell, Joe Thomason, Jeff Story, David Averitt and Garrick Hill.
