Vera M (Harris) Gray

Vera Gray 84, of Symsonia Ky died on Tuesday March 26 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, Ky.

She was a hairdresser by profession and a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Santa Rosa Beach, Fl.

Vera was an avid reader and organic farmer and enjoyed sharing the things she grew with friends and neighbors. She was a hairdresser for 52yrs and owned her own beauty salon. In later years she was a licensed Real Estate Agent as well as a licensed single engine plane pilot and member of the pilots club.

She is survived by her sister Carol Freeman and her beloved friend Caroline Allen as well as a son Don Allen Gray.

She was preceded in death by her parents James A Harris and Nell E Byars Harris; her husband, Billy Jack Gray Sr.; son Billy Jack Gray Jr.; siblings, Dorothy Culiver of Bonifay, Fl; Betty McElwayne of Reidland, Ky., and Jimmy Harris of Boaz, KY.

A special thank you goes out to the nurses on the 7th floor CCU of Lourdes Hospital as well as the nurses and staff of the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center of Paducah for all their care and support during this time.

Ms Gray will be cremated as per her wishes.

A memorial service will be held at a later date  in Santa Rosa Beach, Fl.
