Vivian E. McLaughlin, 96, of Paducah passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Vivian was born in Paducah, Ky on March 30, 1921. She graduated from Augusta Tilghman High School in 1939. She moved to Louisville and worked for The Contracting and Procurement Department for 44 years before her retirement. While in Louisville, she did volunteer work for The Kentucky Center for Performing Arts. She moved back to Paducah in 2012.She was a member of The First Christian Churches of Paducah and Louisville. She enjoyed music and singing, and often would sing hymns on the way home from church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter E. McLaughlin, and Estella McPherson McLaughlin, sisters Anita Hodge and Evelyn McLaughlin brothers Alvin McLaughlin, Wayne McLaughlin and Herndon McLaughlin. She is survived by her sister Alma Fritts, niece Sue Ann (Bob) Morris, nephews Bruce Shulman, and Burke Shulman.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah. With Linda Creason officiating
