Wayne Dean Simmons

Wayne Dean Simmons age 65 of Mayfield, KY formerly of Sandwich, IL. passed away May 29, 2021, at Princeton Nursing Home in Princeton, KY.

Wayne was born February 26, 1956. He is the son of Karl Robert Simmons and Rita Jean Simmons. He married his wife Jacqueline Simmons on June 16th, 1990, and they were happily married for almost 31 years. Wayne was a hard worker and enjoyed being on the road as a truck driver for ATMI Precast. Wayne also loved his family, and he would do everything for them. He loved spending all of his free time with his family outdoors camping, grilling, watching movies including westerns and Star Wars and just hanging out. Wayne had a heart of gold and was willing to help anyone in need. Mr. Simmons was loved and will be missed by everyone that knew him.

He is survived by his mother Rita Jean Simmons of Bardwell KY, wife Jacqueline Lee (Brosi) Simmons of Mayfield, KY, daughter Karly Jean Simmons and grandson Osbaldo (Ozzie) Guardado of Aurora, IL and two sisters. Beverly (Simmons) (Bob) Winburn of Bardwell, KY, and Kathy (Simmons) Porter of Auburn, GA.

Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews and many cousins.

Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert and Edna Simmons and Dale and Florance Schafer, Father Karl Robert Simmons, brother Karl Eugene Simmons, sister Rebecca Marie (Simmons) Hatton and great niece Kadynce Rylee Stadler.

Mr. Simmons was loved and will be missed by everyone that knew him.

Memorial will be held in KY, date to be announced. The family asks that all donations be made to the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation or to the Children's Leukemia Foundation.
