Willena LaRue (Eledge) Roberts

Willena LaRue Roberts, 88, of Murray, formerly of Gleason, TN passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023, in the comfort of her home in Murray, KY.

Over the years Willena worked as a waitress, owned her own beauty shop, and was a sitter for the elderly and disabled. She was an active member of Abundant Life Assembly of God. She loved to make flower arrangements and enjoyed decorating the church with them. You would often find her going to yard sales, collecting antiques, or working in her flowers. She also enjoyed helping the less fortunate alongside of her husband.

Surviving are her four daughters, Cynthia Phillips of Murray, Claudine (Rick) Patterson of McKenzie, TN, Glenda (Robert) Rennison of Gleason, TN, Norma (Dr. Richard) Blalock of Murray; three sisters, Sue Lethco, Rhonda Hurst, and Clara Bohannon all of Sevierville, TN; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Onain Roberts; and her parents, Coy and Florence Eledge; two sisters, Doris Shoaf and Charlene Turner; and two grandchildren, Bradley Adams and Steven Rennison.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Liberty Church of Christ in Gleason, TN with the Rev, Gerry Gallimore and Rev. James Hazelwood officiating. Burial will follow at Foundry Hill Community of Christ in Puryear, TN.

Friends may visit the family from 11:00am to service hour on Saturday at the church.
