William (Bill) Hughes, 97 of West Paducah. Passed away 12:17 Tuesday at Baptist Health in Paducah. Mr. Hughes was World War II veteran and retired machinist for GM Electro-Motive Division. Mr. Hughes was also member of VFW Post 1191 in Paducah; and Palestine Methodist Church. He is survived by four daughters; Glenda Durbin, of Ramsey, IL.; Linda (Roger) Kiesey of Troy, MO. ; Rita (Bill) Smith of Joliet, IL. And Jody ( Sam) Davis of Jacksonville, N.C.; One son, Rev. Douglas (Nancy) Hughes of Paducah. One Brother, Warren Hughes of Paducah; 18 Grandchildren; 34 Great Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren. And 2 nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents William Raymond and Lillie Mae Hughes; Two wives, Kathleen and Earline; Two sons; William Stanley, and Jerry Hughes. One daughter Karen Durbin. Funeral services will be Saturday 2 p.m. at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Nance officiating. Burial to follow with military honors at the Palestine Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. Saturday until 2 p.m. at Lindsey Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Palestine Methodist Church, 7925 Grahamville Road, West Paducah.
