William Klempke

Biography

William Darrel (Bill) Klempke of Paducah, KY, formerly of Rockford, MN., moved into his heavenly Father’s home at 3:33am on April 27, 2016. Bill was the youngest of six children; son of Gustave H. and Blanch (Grotem) Klempke. Bill was born October 13, 1940 in Minneapolis, MN and lived all his life in the Minneapolis area until moving to Paducah in January 2015. Bill was married to Pat (Patricia A. Davison of Metropolis, IL) on December 28, 1996. The 19 years they were married were way too few!

Bill retired in 2006 from Loram Maintenance of Way, a company that manufactures and operates large equipment to maintain railroads, for 30 years as a mechanical engineer. While there he was awarded two U.S. patents for design improvements.

Bill is survived by wife, Pat; two sons and two daughter in laws, Scott & Sherry Klempke of Las Vegas, NV, and David & Shaun Klempke of Burnsville, MN; six grandchildren, Luke Arnold of Saugatuck, MI, Samantha Arnold of Las Vegas, NV, Courtney Klempke of Las Vegas, NV, Bridgit Nistler of Edina, MN, Laura Klempke of Burnsville, MN, and Christopher Klempke of Burnsville, Mn; six great grandchildren, Alex Arnold, Audrey Ludwig, Angelia Meagher, Aiden, Colin, and Noah Nistler; two sisters, one brother and one brother in law; Chris Howard & Betty & Jerry Mattson and Doug Klempke; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gerald Klempke; one sister, Geraldine Burland; and three brothers in law, John Saxton, Bob Howard, and Bob Burland.

Memorial service will be 11am Saturday, April 30th, 2016 at Friendship Baptist Church, 146 South Friendship Rd., Paducah, Ky. 42003 where Bill is a member, with Bro. Jason Browning officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30am until service begins at 11am. Following the service his ashes will be laid to rest at Cedar Grove Cemetery near Salem, Ky. A meal will be provided at Friendship Baptist following Burial.
