William Nelson

William Thomas Nelson, 80, of Paducah, died Friday morning, May 1st, 2015 at Baptist Health of Paducah.

Mr. Nelson was retired from Petter Supply Company of Paducah and was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church of Paducah.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth of Paducah; five children, Margaret Roberts of Paducah, Susan Courtney of West Paducah, Larry Nelson of Colorado Springs, Col., Greg Nelson of Gilbertsville, and Brad Nelson of Paducah; five step children, Larry Smith, David Smith, Lori Winkler, Cheryl Tyler, and Tracy Shreve, all of Paducah; three sisters, Jane Stice, Artie Wallis, and Martha Darnell, all of Paducah; eleven grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Gail Nelson; his parents, Auza B. and Anna Mae Burklow; one son, William Everett Nelson; and several brothers and sisters.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm at Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah.

Funeral service will be at Lindsey Funeral Home on Sunday May 3rd, 2015 starting at 2pm with Rev. Louis Brinker and Rev. Dale Harrell officiating. Burial will follow at Owens Chapel Cemetery.
