Drenda Ray (Broyles) Asbell

Drenda (Broyles) Asbell, entered into heaven on January 7, 2021 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Gordon Broyles, mother, Margaret Elberta Broyles and sister, Rita Ann Broyles, all of Paducah, KY.   She is survived by her daughter, Dawn (Asbell) Davis (Walt) of Zebulon, NC; son Hardy Asbell (Lynn) of Louisburg, NC; grandsons Jeff Asbell and Chris Asbell both of Raleigh, NC; sister Lydia (Broyles) Moore (Jack) of Lone Oak, KY and many nieces and nephews.

Drenda greatly loved her family, flowers, animals great & small, and decorating... she could not stop decorating.   She had the most positive and optimistic outlook on life.  She had a warm, welcoming smile and an infectious laugh.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  She was a person of great faith in Jesus and has been reunited with family and been restored in heaven.  Billy Graham said “The greatest legacy one can pass on... is not money or material things... but rather a legacy of character and faith.”  Our mother’s legacy is priceless and will live on through her family.

Private family services will be held at Lindsey Funeral Home.
